I would think that if anyone, at any time, wished to pull a story from a collection, they had the right to pull their own story...

Why can’t you let the gentle author alone? One of the clearest indications that you cannot even begin to grasp the art of her work is that you have mistaken softcore, sensual fiction for hard core and assumed that she paled in comparison to Matheson and Lovecraft.
