Cynical? Pretentious? I deeply wish.

This post is being made on the doorstep of April Fool's, but I write it in as an empirical reflection: I'm afraid, no matter who would write it, it has substance, the substance of a landed strike. And of precedent.

The film "Bully" comes out tomorrow and I strongly suspect, on this early Thursday afternoon, it will be a breakout "indie" hit. It will be praised and discussed. But it also in very certain quarters will be reviled, and if indeed "popular" I see the following taking place.

Coming to the few theatres not controlled by the dominating liberal cabal of the media: "Wimps Deserve What They Get". A true look at Those Who Are Strong in our society and a rebuttal to those who stand in their way. By the persistent geniuses who brought you "We Were Denied An Incredible Vice President Thanks To The Intellectuals" and "God Exists, He Sat For An Interview With Me".

Hey, those of us who read the page of "small" film reviews in The Times' of Los Angeles, New York and other centers of, well, liberalism know these are made in our Ipad De Mille era. They are in theatres about as long as their target audience ever held together a coherent thought. The brutes who beat early 60's lunch counter integrators in full view of the old film cameras have very little on the everyone has a camera/raging hunger to be in an online video era.

Just like the apparently camera-loving tormentors on the bus in "Bully", gathering heat from the fossil fuel generated by such phenomena frat boys who think because they get in front of the camera drunk during the jello wrestling they suddenly have washboard abs and faces to die for.

Enough celebration of dying, off the soap box and onto better things?
