Pausing for a disclaimer.

There are sayings which all point to the concept of two kinds of people which make up certain organizations, the ones which make it hell and the ones which make it work.

I can apply this to the L.A. Schools for which I worked. And then there are the Armed Services, in which I did not serve. I have one brother who did, and we're as good friends as my frivolous nature will allow, and when he told me he certainly ran across some chumps in the Army, I cracked about some ne'r-do-wells I'd encounted in the District.

As sharply as he's addressed me in many years, he told me as much that I had seen nothing near what he had.

I have been aware,if not in the midst, of many revolting things over the years our "culture" pushes down, and the film "The Invisible War", of which I have read many reviews and am afraid to see, brings up things far too slowly currently being addressed as this weekend's papers are pointing out.

I take my blogging seriously, and also know I go all over the map.

The blog entry I am titling "All the birds finally roost" is not meant to imply I have anywhere near the experiences my Veteran readers have had.

Thank you.
