"Twould be nice to pass out brain candy.

During the mid-80's I finally up and had the phone jack changed. Then I was into the digital age, acquiring an answering machine behind which to hide---I'll say from telemarketing but others know a bit more, wink---and eventually my own phone. The latter was big then!

The answering machines have usually had a daily historical message. On this last day of October, 2012, I commemorate not just Orson Welles' apology for the chaos from the Mercury Mars invasion but his astonishment it was bought into to such an extent.

On this---boo!---scary evening it's a statement which expresses my feelings about the political climate.

A Senate candidate in a middle state representing the Republican party and tea party endorsement has said he's against abortion even in the case of rape because he "came to realize life is that gift from God. And even when life begins in the horrible situation of rape, that is something that God intended to happen."

Hey, I've endured a few or more horrible situations myself, under the aegis of religion.

To borrow a melody and a bit of rhythmic concept from George M. Cohan: Gee You Double Ell Eye B-----ooooooooo!
