11 a.m., 11/06/12: Quick thought on polarities.

Very bitter was I about the 1988 elections: What I had earlier witnessed in a political science class when a member of the League Of Women Voters was explaining a measure relating to some kind of health issue; for another blog. Crappy blues guitarist Lee Atwater's successful (or whatever we call it right here in the good ol' USA) Willie Horton ploy, among other embarassments. The election itself. A certain female columnist's gloat about " 'We' won, 'you' lost, no compaining, shut up" or whatever angle.

1992: In the aftermath of another scary presidential campaign---children, I'm a tellin' you we had 'em THEN!!!---the manager for Bush Sr. marries the manager for manager for Clinton. I can't keep straight which snakes are pilloried for the respective oils but, agin, a big moment in the U S of A.

Some time later, in the big time skeptic camp: James Randi is pals with both Kreskin and Penn Jillette. But Kreskin is inflamed about Jillette's mocking his alleged metaphysical antics. Kreskin was quite the fence sitter in that arena, though, and we males know about sitting on certain kinds of fences a bit too long.

Yeah, in some cases who do you trust? Think of what's on the cover of Steely Dan's "The Royal Scam". But no time yet for a nap, or to be a bum. Grabbing the pamphlet and out the door after posting.
