A few days ago I came home to a rare blink on the phone company wireless box. It was my health provider, reminding me of a Certain Procedure (or more) men my age are supposed to undergo. I moaned.

Today I came home from band to another blink, one over which I had absolutely no control as far as facing it.

The dear friend to whom I refer as Mentor died last night.

Sarah Tryon Smith is gone from massive heart failure the night of August 18th, or something like it. Exact date not as excruciating as actual fact.
