This could be the start of some niche thing.

Niche is not a stranger to your scribe. In taking an exploratory look, and perhaps my first visit, to the Arbitron site for information from about two months ago I saw two radio stations at the bottom of the ratings. One was the listener supported jazz station in my rotation, and the other one and quite at the end although I don't think the difference in numbers---not in that range, right?---mattered much was an AM Catholic station, also listener supported, part of a network.

Minority status seems to convey the most stories. I had the station I call "eradicate smart" radio in the rotation for a while and while I found it cute at times, with 50's and 60's visions of "older boys", and males they were just to clarify, with eyes off heavenward more preoccupied with St. Augustine than what was on television, other things scared me.

Those kind of fellows were a niche, in retrospect, since I didn't hang around with such as the card flipping crowd, and subsets of that concept may get this blog going.
