She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Welcome to October...

Ack! Ack! October already! (I know, I know, I was amazed yesterday that it was the end of September. But I didn’t really clue in to the fact that it was the last day of September…)

[pant, pant] Combat Booklet is done and printing. I worked on it most of last night, although I did go out in the sewing room for a little bit and fringe the edges of a new early Celtic overtunic, and make a veil and chin strap for Maren. (Maren is Amy’s SCA name. I’m trying to remember to use it…) And then I worked on the CB this morning. It’s almost 12:30 p.m. I have a chiro appt in an hour that will include an hour’s worth of evaluation from an outside tester. Then I’ll drop the CB off and pick up whatever other booklets are done, and food shop. We’re having dinner with Mitch and Anita (Ken’s dad and his wife) tonight, so I’ll have to remember to tape “Buffy”. [phew]

I have found a leather top in the Dream Dresser catalogue that I want. However, I know damn well that it won’t fit over the bounteous bodaciousness of my bosom. So, another incentive to lose weight. I’ve been trying to think about that top every time I open the refrigerator or consider having seconds. It’s worked for about two days now! [g]

Wow. Another really good “Buffy” tonight. Wow.

We had a pleasant dinner with Mitch and Anita at Olive Garden. I had lots of salad and Chicken and Shrimp Limone (which only I knew how to pronounce, apparently), and Ken had pasta e fagiloi and mixed grill (chicken, Italian sausage, veggies). M&A stopped by afterwards for a little while, and then Ken and I watched “Buffy”, chose what family portraits we wanted to order, and then he went to bed and I’m still up working…
