She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Stuffing

Dammit, I have this strong desire to watch Larry’s “The Good Catches Up” video, because the song has been going through my head all day and I don’t have it on CD (although my two new CDs arrived yesterday! Huzzah!)—but I’m in the process of taping “Buffy” because Ken’s not home yet—and we have only one VCR. We need a second one. Just a cheap one for taping two shows at the same time (like, tomorrow night “The West Wing” is on at the same time as the premiere ep of “Birds of Prey”, and we’ll be at the War), or dubbing, or emergencies such as this.

Ah, I suppose I shouldn’t complain. I have new CDs, and I get to see “Buffy” (as opposed to my British friends who have to wait until what? January?), and all that sort of thing.

So. Spent lots of time at the site today stuffing booklets into big envelopes, along with a flyer and site favours. Ken’s mom drove us out there and was my primary helper. (A few other people wandered in for 15 minutes or so, here and there.) Maren came out, but ended up driving Ken home because of a minor emergency—he had to grab the bike and go to Oxnard to pick something up. Five hours of walking and stuffing. Ugh. But, it’s done, huzzah.

Tonight we have to do some preliminary packing, and Ken has to finish up some sewing. Tomorrow we have to pick up the car, pick up the RV, pack the RV, go food shopping.
