Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Diving

Finishing the CE work yesterday happily leaves me free today to do other things, like write, finish the text of our holiday newsletter and maybe design it, and wrap presents that have to be mailed so I can brave Post Office Hell tomorrow, watched “Charmed” at 5, and go to dance practise tonight. That sort of thing.

Right now I’ve got a hot cup of English Breakfast tea (decaf), I’m wearing a comfy sweatshirt, and I’m dealing with e-mails and such before diving into writing.

Ooh! A sale! The anthology Erotic Mythology wants “Hestia in Heat”, a co-written story by Teresa and myself. (Well, actually they say, “There's a chance it might work for my mythology antho.”, but I think that’s pretty positive.) We sent them another story as well (actually, sent them the other story before “Hestia”, come to think of it) but haven’t heard back on that. It’s less obvious for the theme, I think. But it’s really good, and I’m sure we’ll be able to sell it elsewhere.
