Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

From stress to mellowness

BH: 622

Sleepy. Didn’t sleep well last night. Lots of time spent copy editing today, but not on the new project that is concerning me because it’s a different type of journal and there’ll be a learning curve. Exercise today consisted of vacuuming the living room during “Charmed” commercials. Made yummy ravioli (frozen, with herb packet) for supper. Spent hours in sewing studio helping newcomers make or plan garb. Made concerted effort not to have anxiety issues because so much to do this week: doctor’s appts Tues, Weds, Thurs; new journal with tight deadline; want to finish novel. Mystery surprise motorcycle trip Friday for Valentine’s Day—have no idea what Ken has planned.

Hmmm…that paragraph ended on a happy note! I’m doing better. A bit of vodka and apple/kiwi/something juice, and more than 500 words written during commercials of “Just Shoot Me”—the episode guest starring Stephanie Romanov, who’s Lilah on “Angel”. Major yumminess. So I’m feeling a bit more mellow now. I’ll get stuff done. It’ll be busy, but I’ll do it. Nothing is crucial. And really, it’s good to have work and a novel nearly done and a partner whom I adore and my soulmate coming to visit in just over a month, and a nifty house that’s soon to be niftier, and… Right. I’m going to bed now.
