Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Elevensies

It's 11:11 p.m., and 11:11 is éclair time, according to Snert, so I gave him one. (Hm. You really do have to exist in my reality to understand that.) Even more nifty, it's 11:11 on the 11th.

Or maybe it's just nifty to me.

I feel like I got a lot done today, but I can't entirely put my finger on what all I did. Finished the next chunk of Sage stuff. Paid bills. Went food shopping and bought lots of veggies for salad and stir fry, and melon, and balanced all that virtuousness with white cheese Cheez-Its. Talked briefly to a tired Ken. Answered some e-mail (but not enough; the In Box is still too full). I did take a nap for an hour because I was tired and headachy; I didn't really sleep, but dozed well enough. At about 9:30 tonight I was tempted to go to bed, but decided to stay up and make a go of it. It's now 11:15 and I haven't done much of anything useful except for answering a few more e-mails. Ah well.

Maybe it's just that the study is still a mess, which makes things feel undone.

Hah! I finally got disgusted with myself and made the needed edits on "Frozen", an erotica I wrote awhile. I'll send it back to Teresa for a quick review (the edits were based on her comments, so I'd like to see if I answered her questions properly), and then I'll send it off.

I think now I'll crawl into bed with Return of the Goddess, the Dawn book I bought awhile back and put on my to-read shelf. Now seems like a good time to read it.
