Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Screw that plan!

ALNM: 354

Sorry about the lack of entry yesterday, pets. Nothing of note happened. I feel like nothing happened at all, but I did answer some e-mail, and sew up the sides of one tunic, and work on the neckline of the green-and-purple dupioni tunic that I now want to be able to wear this Saturday. (Oh, screw that plan not to make anything for an event the week before the event. I want new garb.)

Today was sort of the same, but I did accomplish a bit more. Lots more e-mail. Made a scrummy lasagne because we bought all the ingredients so Sarah could make it, then run out of time, so the task fell to me. Finished the neckline of the tunic and bought gold beads, and at the Textile Guild meeting, started beading. Whoah, it looks good! Each gold bead has four pearls sticking out around it, like a star or a flower. Hard to describe. Very pretty to look at. I got almost the whole front of the neckline done, so I’m going to finish that, sew it together, and maybe do a bit on the sleeves (I can do that at Baronial Council meeting tonight). I also got a smidge of writing done between coming home from the meeting and watching “Angel”, but I’m pretty tired now, and won’t get back to it. Tomorrow, though.
