Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Lots of stuff

Another stupid headache this morning, probably due in part to the fact that we went to bed at 2:30 a.m. It’s mostly gone now (the headache, not the bed). I’ve lounged, eaten a grilled cheese sandwich and a hamburger (both cooked by Ken—when he gets into this mode, I am happy to sit back and enjoy it), gone through all the piled-up mail, paid all the bills, and caught up on online journals.

Got a bunch of little stuff done, stuff that’s hard to quantify, like that pile of “stuff to do” that involves typing an e-mail or looking something up online or filing. Then we watched the Barbara Walters interview with Hillary Clinton, and 16 Candles, which I’ve amazingly never seen and taped late Saturday night. During the watching, we ate spagetti and broccoli, and I embroidered The Project That Cannot Be Named, completing half of the fill-in in about three hours. Whew! That made me feel good. I didn’t know how long it was going to take, and now I know how much more to expect. The documentation research on the project isn’t going well, however…
