Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

It's good to have a plan

Blackwood House: read through and editing completed
Sacrifice to Silence: edited

I have a Publicity Deputy for GWW! He wants to take over next year! Huzzah! I’ll in turn be his deputy, because he hasn’t been around to learn the ropes. I’m working on a comprehensive article about how to do the job, too. He might be able to twist my arm to design next year’s booklets, but then again, he might not. [g] I feel very relieved. I’m not overworked or overburdened right now, but I want to shift my priorities. GWW is a lot of work. I’m sure I’ll still be really involved at the War next year, too, but I want to back off from the monthly meetings and intensive hands-on work that Publicity entails.

Did a lot of Sage editing today, so now I’m a day ahead on that. Doing good on e-mail. If the Caidan website was working right now, I’d be doing even better.

I read though all the crits for Blackwood House (many thanks again to Mom, Teresa, and Christine!) and made some changes. I’m going to read another Soulmates tonight/tomorrow, just ‘cause, and then print BH out and mail it on Monday. I want it out of here… At this point, I confess, I’m pretty sick of it. The biggest lesson learned is I don’t like sweet, short little romances, really. I have all sorts of ideas and subplots for BH if it’s rejected. Not that I _hope_ it’ll be rejected, mind you. But I have a backup plan. It’s always good to have a backup plan. :-)
