Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Return, return

Sorry for the continued silence, pets. My computer monitor is still in the shop (so much for that promised 3–4 day repair), which means still no e-mail. We’re borrowing a monitor from a friend today, which is good, because I have a copyediting job to start. I have Internet access via the laptop, and the few files I took to War, so I can still do a bit of work.

War was wonderful, exhausting, busy, and all too short. I’m still working on the various entries, and will back-post them in a day or two.

My back/neck tweaked yesterday. I can’t really say I _did_ anything to it, because I didn’t. This has happened before: One minute I’m fine (if a little tight), the next I have a shooting pain from my left shoulder blade to my neck. I’m calling my chiropractor in a few minutes, and heading out there soon after. I’m almost nonfunctional right now.

And sometime in the afternoon, you’ll probably hear more from me. :-)
