She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Enigmanescence

Dyeing: 605
exercise: day off (legs wibbly)

I went food shopping at TJ's today, so we won’t starve anytime soon, and picked up thread for a project that needs to be done by Saturday. Alas, our sewing machine has crapped out. Ken’s mom is letting us borrow one of hers (she has 6, if you could the treadle that doesn’t work, and the serger that we covet).

Ken comes home tomorrow! My tomorrow! yay! I’ve ordered tickets to “Return of the King”, the 1 p.m. showing. He gets in at 11:40, so that should give us time to collect his bags and eat. Must remember to pack Kleenex. I’ve heard this is a multiple-hanky movie.

I decided not to exercise today. Every time I thought about it, my legs felt wibbly. I’ve been pushing myself (yesterday was tough), and I don’t want to get to a point where it really doesn’t feel good, because that’s negative reinforcement. I’ll try to get some exercising in tomorrow; maybe I can talk Ken into a sunset walk on the beach. :-)

I was in a bit of a panic this evening, realising all of the things that needed to get done. I also realised I was trying to do things in the wrong order. The next weaving project needs to be done by just before Yule, but there are things that need to be done before that. So along with my regular To Do list (which I updated), I made a “this is when various things need to be done list”, which includes a calendar until the end of the month.

So, when I saw “The Two Towers”, in the scenes in Arwen’s bedroom I even missed dialogue because I was ogling the tapestry on the wall. I told Ken that once we got the DVD, we were going to have to frame grab a good shot of it so I could do a silk painting.

Well, I found a website that’s done the work for me! Plus, it has detailed information about the clothing, jewelry, etc. Totally geeky cool. As it says, it’s not a fan website. It’s for the serious costumer. So I’m a double geek.

I suppose I’ll be a triple geek when I make the thing. It won’t be in the next month or so, though.

Oh, and the website is http://www.alleycatscratch.com/lotr/Elf/Arwen/Hope/BedroomBanner.htm

You know, I was just looking at it again. It’s embroidered. Metal thread embroidery. I must be crazy…

So here I am, bellowing along with Evanescence, burning Celtic music onto the computer, and writing lesbian erotica. A dichotomy, I am, hm, yes. Maybe even an enigma. Yeah, that would be cool.
