Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Complete with appendix...

writing: sob
exercise: [expletive deleted]

We spent most of the day making a painted banner for Rowen & Cerdiwen that their staff is giving them as a thank-you present. Yeah, I know Ken and did the whole thing. I was going to do it with somebody, and then she bailed. One other person offered to help, and I would’ve taken her up on it, except our regular sewing machine died and we had to borrow one of Ken’s mom’s machines, and the volunteer left today for a week’s vacation. (And the post-mortem BBQ, when we’re giving them the banner, is tomorrow.) It looks stunning, but it ate up most of our day.

I have all my paperwork done for the post-mortem, though. A very detailed How to Do Publicity, complete with an appendix and supporting materials. It’s nice to have that project done and ready to hand off.

Meanwhile, the Sage job I’ve been waiting for, which was supposed to arrive Wednesday, finally showed up today, and I’m a little panicky about getting it done before we leave.

It’s after 11 now, and Ken wants to watch a little TV, and that’s a good idea. Although my current guilt for not having written in several days is getting to me. Let’s not even talk about the lack of exercise.
