Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Punto!

Went to Baron’s Feast today, a low-key local event that mostly involves food, food, and more food. We brought period games and spent a fair amount of time sucking people in to play Punto (which may not be a period game, but it uses a nice set of period cards, and it’s Italian), which was hilarious. Hung out with people I hadn’t really hung out with before, as well as with good friends. (Eilidh and I are starting to think alike. Yes, be afraid.)

Now we’re home, and I’m freshly showered and sweetly smelling. My goals for tonight are to put everything away from the trip and today, do dishes &tc., and finish the GP. Oh, and watch some TV. I figure I can put things away and straighten while watching last week’s “Charmed”, and then Eilidh and I can watch this week’s ep. No writing tonight, but I’m diving into Waking the Witch again tomorrow.

GP is done and to Cat for proofreading, although I still need to add clip art. Everything’s pretty much put away and straightened. I watched two eps of “Charmed” (the first one okay but had some plot holes, and the second a throwaway episode with logic holes you could drive a truck through) and one “Tru Calling” (one “Charmed” with Cat and the “Tru” with Ken and Cat). Bills are organised. Busy day tomorrow, but I think it’s all do-able. I’m kinda looking forward to it.
