Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Glorious droppy feelings

We went to Busch Gardens today: me, Sarah, Scott, Fiona, and Ma. Had an great time. Scott went with me on the highest roller coaster, Apollo’s Chariot, and it was awesome. An incredibly high first drop, followed by lots of other drops. No useless loops. Sarah and I went on Alpengeist, in which you dangle below the track. Fun and scary—the loops were cool on this one—but it never gave me the glorious droppy feeling that I crave.

Tonight we watched Larry videos, but we’ve gone to bed reasonably early, because Sarah has to work tomorrow. I’m going with her to hang out and be generally unhelpful. :-) If I get some writing done, it will be a happy thing.

Still miss Ken. Talked to him today. He’ll be gone for two days after I get home, but I’ll be immersed in the GP anyway. It’ll be good to have a few weeks afterwards, home and with my beloved. Some semblance of normalcy.
