Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Whine therapy

In Her Hands, words written: 1088
In Her Hands, words total: 9121

I really, really didn’t want to write last night. I even went so far as to open a new file and whine about how I didn’t want to write. After about one and a half sentences of whining, I got bored and annoyed, and opened up the actual file.

I’ve got an early morning appointment tomorrow, so the current plan is to get home from that and get right to writing, so I’m not leaving it all to the evening.

Although my production has been woefully less than I’d anticipated, I’m thrilled that I’ve broken through any barriers each day and gotten words down. I really am having fun with this, especially when I pause in the writing to think, and my subconscious comes forward and reminds me to stop and pick something and write it down and move on. Looking back, I suspect I’ll find that my subconscious went ahead and made the right choice of what I should pick and write down, after all. And if not, it’s on the page and I have something to work with.
