Done, and on to the next

Novella has been edited and is off to critiquers. Whew. Now to focus on some anthology stories Teresa and I are going to collaborate on, research Magic: The Gathering, and read my mom’s novel for critique.

Went out to dinner with Morgana & Brian and Albra & Hans at a Viennese restaurant tonight. Veal meatballs in a caper sauce, mmmm. And the bread totally reminded me of my grandmother. I forgot to ask what kind it was.

In other news, we’re not going to NY for Yule, because using frequent flyer miles meant we couldn’t return until 7 January or something ridiculous like that, and flights are prohibitively expensive. I may fly home for a few days before Yule, but I haven’t decided yet.

Our heater seems to have broken. The pilot light is on, but Ken couldn’t get it to actually heat even when he bypassed the thermostat. Since it’s cold and rainy right now, this is not a good thing. Thank goodness for blankets, and warm cats, and shared body heat, and hot mint tea!
