Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Koo-koo-ka-choo

words written: 2681, on three projects

Another good writing day. I wrote a short erotica piece for a contest, wrote the next bit on the Teresa collab that she’d sent me, and wrote three pages on the Magic excerpt. Whee, this is fun!

We also went out and got our tree today! It’s not the usual pine; this kind (whatever it is) is very pretty, but doesn’t smell as good. However, at half the price of the usual kind, I was willing to sacrifice smell. It’s a lovely conical shape. We’ll start decorating tomorrow, I suspect.

Ken also put up our acorn and oak leaf house numbers, and they look fantastic. Unfortunately, they make the beat-up light fixture above them look even more pathetic. Ah well. One thing at a time.

The home warranty company came today and looked at our heater. Turns out it’s missing some bits. Now, the person who did the house inspection for the sale of the house did not mention any problems with the heater, even though that’s a major feature. We are not amused. We’re working on this little problem…

What else? I’m sure there was more, here and there throughout the day. Suffice to say it was a good day, and I’m looking forward to another one tomorrow.
