Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Let your firefly...

Words Written: ha!

Joss Whedon continues to rule.

Yeah, we finished “Firefly” today, including all the extras. (But not the episodes with commentaries. There are seven. Those will have to wait…) That was about 8 hours of TV watchin’, with a break to pick up Baja Fresh and deal with the ant problem.

Because the storms have caused the ants to flee inside. I hereby nominate my beloved husband for sainthood, because he dealt with them more that once, including the ones that had gotten into food in the California cooler. Yech. I hate ants. Really, really hate them.

The storms also brought some amazing thunder last night, loud enough to shake the house. Cat saw lightning, and Morgana says she did, too (and the thunder was loud enough for her to hear wearing earplugs), but I didn’t see that. Just heard the booming. Pretty amazing.

So, yeah. Other than that, um, well, that was my day. I dealt with some e-mail in the morning, and am doing so again now, but we’ll probably wander back downstairs and watch some of our regular shows for a bit. Try to go to bed at a reasonable hour, and tackle tomorrow head-on. Or something like that.

I have managed to finish most of the cross-stitch holiday picture I’ve been working on. Just have to finish the outlining. I think I’ll save the other one for next holiday season, and move on to either the purple Celtic-y dragon bookmark, or some other cross-stitch project.
