Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

We're all a little groggy, really

Words written: “The Brinks Job”: ~400

A brief update:

We’re not leaving for Yuma tonight. Tani, who was to be riding with us, called to say she was on her way to the emergency room. Think good thoughts for her. Ken and I talked, and it’s better all around if we go to bed early and leave early tomorrow morning. We’re both tired. We’ll save the motel room cost. And both the cats had vet stuff done today, and are groggy and on special food and meds.

Otherwise, things are good. Found out that Sheri got us tickets to a very small “concert” at KLOS. My boss is the Most Wonderful Boss in the world. I’ll have to post the “script” I sent to the Styx Heaux after I talked to him. Any conversation with my boss that starts with me asking “How much to you love me?”… He’s highly bemused and supportive of my fandom.

Thanks to everyone who said such supportive things in comments about my decision to really focus on my writing. I’ll be responding individually, but for now, thank you. I have the bestest friends ever.
