Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

If it's Wednesday, it must be insanity

Words Written: “The Brinks Job”: 801, and finished

Just a word count tonight. Another early-to-work, late-to-home day, but at least I got some writing done. Finished the collab, and it's back of to Teresa. Tomorrow, working on my own story for that anthology.

Damn. I was about to go to bed when I realized that today was, actually, Wednesday (when did that happen? Why didn't anybody warn me?), which means that tomorrow is Thursday, and the Shire meeting, and I had to have all the Black Oak files ready for Ken to turn over to next year's Event Steward. Luckily they were in decent shape, but some things needed to be printed, and a final report written (blissfully short-we cancelled the event, so how much could I say?), and everything from the last 3 years that I have burned onto a CD.

So much for a full night's sleep… Except I'm glad to be getting this off my desk, once and for all.
