Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Teresa has reminded me that there is a redhead in our book. [blush] Not that she looks anything like the redhead on the cover, but still. Just goes to show how easy it is to core dump the last book in favor of the current project.

Ken bought me a camera! A Nikon Coolpix 5600—essentially, the next step or two up from our previous camera, which will now become solely his camera so I actually have one when he wanders off on the bike. It’s a little smaller and sleeker, and has sound with the movies, which will make all the Styx movies less silly to watch. I’ve been wanting to take more pictures (pretty things I see, friends, cats, etc.) so I’m just thrilled. He bought it because we’d been talking about it and there was a Good Guys going out of business, but I’m also looking at it as a book-release celebratory thing. [pets camera lovingly]

We had a busy, full weekend of errands, scrummy food, TV, and projects, but no time to ramble about it all now. I’ll catch up tomorrow. I need to curl up with my beloved now.
