Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

More good news, of a different sort

So at about 10 p.m. tonight, Ken called. “Hi honey,” I said. “Have you made it to San Francisco?

“No, I had a small problem.”

Uh oh. This doesn’t bode well. When he sounds calm like that, it doesn’t mean it’s not bad.

Then he said, “The problem is, I miss you,” and went on to explain that he’s on the other side of the Grapevine, will be home a little after midnight, and changed his flights so he could come home first. (He flies out Saturday from LAX.)

My beloved’s coming home! :-)

In other news, I’m actually writing again. The next chapter on Out of the Frying Pan, though, not A Little Night Music, because I have to consult with Sarah on the latter. It feels sooooo good to be back at it!
