Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Oh for crying out loud

I try to be positive here, I really do. I don't talk about bad books I've tried to read, I don't diss people, and I try to keep my rants about Walmart and Target to a minimum. I try to be polite when I explain my disdain and mistrust of LJ after watching them contradict themselve from page to page.

So I'm just going to link to the ever-wonderful Making Light, and you can decide for yourselves how you feel about LJ's latest, which is banning icons of breastfeeding mothers that users have been using to show their support for breastfeeding. Including (and I have to admit this amuses me to no end), religious iconography of Mary's feeding Jesus.

That's all. Do with it what you wish. We'll be back soon to our regularly scheduled writing-and-life journal (probably with an entry later today).
