Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

In the midnight hour

Words Written: ALNM small scenes, various chapters; short story started
Writing Stats: Had a good phone call with Sarah re: the next bits on ALNM. More stories in the mail (still not back up to 40 circulating, but soon!).

This week has not been going as smoothly as I’d like, but it’s going. I haven’t exercised enough or written enough, I’ve been having trouble sleeping (I miss Nyquil, but I had to say goodbye). I was in a pretty bad mood today, but it’s not something I’ll be talking about publicly, so move along, nothing to see here.

Still, I’ve gotten a little writing done, a bit of organization/paperwork done, and I’m primed and prepared to keep going. Ken won’t arrive in Sequoia tomorrow until after dinner, so I’ll have several hours to work before popping out to eat with the bike folks. I still need to pack, but I’ll have time in the morning.

I really need this getaway. The iPod’s full of RWA talks and music, I’ve got a detailed packing list, and I just want outta here for a while.

Be back Sunday!
