The Paris, Texas, school district apologized Tuesday for a performance by one of its marching bands which played an Adolf Hitler anthem and waved a Nazi flag during a football halftime show.

The performance was greeted by heavy boos at the Hillcrest High School in Dallas, and several objects were hurled at the band.

Maybe they should have stuck with "Louie Louie".

Seriously, I doubt they were actually waving the Nazi flag as a tribute, but rather as some sort of historical depiction.

But still...what kind of deranged band director would put a Nazi flag in the hands of a 14 year-old and have him march around a football field with it (And where do you get a Nazi flag these days? Did he mail-order it from fascistflags.com or have the home economics class sew one up?)?
