I got hooked up with DSL at my apartment last night...ah, the sweet speed of broadband!

I'm settling into my new surroundings pretty well. I've set up a nice little networking station, though one of my workstations popped loudly when I plugged it in and now it won't turn on. Ah well, I got each of them for $60.

Anyway, I'm continuing to learn Java, focusing on distributed applications, and I've already written a little Tic-Tac-Toe tournament manager that spawns a population of players, pairs them up, sends them to a node to play a game, and returns the results. It's rough, but it works. Pretty soon I'll be able to plug it into our neuroevolutionary framework and evolve some neural net AIs to play.

We're also looking at this as a nice test domain:
