Costumes of the Damned

So I'm heading out to lunch today and standing on the lawn of the building where I work are two people in costumes, one a nutcracker outfit, the other a gingerbread man.

They're each holding signs saying:

OFFICE SPACE FOR RENT
FIRST TWO MONTHS FREE!!!

Now, I'm not in marketing, but this seemed like just about the most moronic mode of advertising I think I've ever seen. For a vacuum cleaner shop or a car wash, I could see the humiliating use of the minimum wage slaver in a dorky costume.

But for high-rent office space? So the CEO of a medium-to-large sized corporation is going to be driving around Dallas, see a life-sized nutcracker and gingerbread man advertising space and say, "Dear God! We've got to headquarter there!"?
