Okay, so the guy who worked for Homeland Security who got busted for talking sex talk with what he thought was a teenage girl deserves to lose his job. I could see how offering government cell phones to someone would be a serious crime.

But am I totally off my rocker for thinking that this is too severe?

Doyle is accused of 23 felony charges related to sexually graphic conversations with what he thought was a teenage girl, who was in fact an undercover Florida detective. The charges, lodged Tuesday night by the Polk County, Fla., Sheriff's Department, included 16 counts of sending pornographic movie clips to a minor.

Holy fucking shit. 16 felony counts for mailing pornos to a minor? We're not talking about touching anyone here. This is not assault. It's slimy, okay. But a felony? Anyone else think this is out of proportion?

Oh yeah, and the girl didn't even exist. So it's intent, but...
