THIS IS SILLY THINKING BREAKING NEWS.

From New York, here is Connie Chung.

CC: Good evening once again ladies and gentlemen.
The big news tonight is from Washington state and Michigan.
In the west with 76% of the votes in:

John Kerry leads with 49%

Howard Dean is second with 31%

And Dennis Kucinich at 8% is third with his best showing ever.

In the east, in Michigan, John Kerry leads with 17% of the votes counted with 57%
Jeff Edwards with 15%
and Doctor Dean limping along critically wounded with 14%.

Howard Dean's dismal showing should have been better today because these were caucus states. Caucuses lean left in the democratic party because more activists participate.
Dean's response is that a second place showing is what they wanted and they are happy. Dean, who decided to concentrate on Wisconsin, is not in Washington or Wisconsin. He's in Vermont watching a hockey game and tomorrow travels to Maine to put in appearance during that state's primary.
Washington, Michigan, and Maine should have been big success's for Dean. They were pro-Dean as recently as two weeks ago.
One of the most liberal labor unions in the country, ABSNE, that represents government laborers endorsed Dean months ago. Today they withdrew thier endorsement.

Dennis Kucinich had his best showing ever today with third place at 8%. Kucinich's plan is to quietly gather delegates and broker his votes at the Democratic Convention, swaying the main stream candidates; demanding they represent his key issues.

CC:The mayor of Munchkin Land is here.
Mr. Mayor good evenning.

MOML: Good evening, Miss Chung.

CC: Mr. Mayor, Dennis Kucinich keeps going, as a fellow munchkin, can you tell us why?

MOML: Miss Chung, Dennis left us years ago to spread the Munchkin doctrine. We are very pleased.

CC: And what is that doctrine?

MOML: Support the good witches not the evil ones. You have been backing the wrong horse lately Miss Chung and Dennis thought he should step in.

CC: I see. How do you think he's doing?

MOML: I love Dennis! He's articulate, funny, and smart.

CC: So he has your support all the way to the convention?

MOML: As the mayor of Munchkin City in the merry old land of Oz I would like to announce we are supporting John Kerry for the presidency.

CC: But...

MOML: We're short not stupid.

CC: Thank you, Mayor of Munchkin Land.
We will return if any more important developments develop tonight.
Be sure to join us tomorrow for Special Reports from the Maine Primary.
We'll see you soon.

This has been breaking news from Silly Thinking. A new dedication with a champaigne bottle and a frumpy older woman smashing it over the bow of some ship.
