This is an ST News Update.

Here, from our New York World News Headquarters in New York, is Connie Chung.

CC: Good afternoon and welcome to this ST News Update. I’m Connie Chung reporting.
Yesterday the Department of Homeland Security announced a new terror warning that was, for the first time, time and place specific. Tom Ridge broke the news that financial institutions, “iconic institutions” is how he put it, were at profound risk. The organizations that have been under scrutiny by terrorists include: Wall Street, Citigroup (both in New York City,) The International Monetary Fund and The World Bank (both in Washington D.C. just a few blocks from the White House,) and Prudential Financial in New Jersey. Ridge said the terrorist “chatter” they have picked up as been chilling and unlike anything before.
Democratic Candidate John Kerry was briefed on the new terror threat and judged it credible while fellow Democrat Dr. former Governor Howard Dean thought it was politically motivated. Kerry issued several statements today imploring the President to act to make us safer, disagree with Doctor Dean, and answer President Bush’s statements criticizing him.
For more on the terror threat here is Kelly Bright from Wall Street.

KB: Good afternoon Connie.

CC: Kelly have you seen anything today that looks like terrorist activity?

KB: No Connie, all is quiet here on Wall Street, there is increased security but no terrorists that I can see.

CC: It could come from anyone at anytime Kelly.

KB: Well, I know, but everybody looks like Americans going about their daily routine.

CC: Terrorists in disguise perhaps?

KB: Could be, I guess. With that thought, I guess, there could be terrorists here and I wouldn’t know.

CC: Exactly. Stay vigilant Kelly.

KB: Officer, officer?

COP: Yeah?

KB: Look at the lady. Does she have I.D.?

COP Wha?

CC: We will be back with Kelly as terrorist actions dictate. Dictators and terrorists go hand in hand.
Briefly in other news…
Bill Mahar and Michael Moore both begged Ralph Nader to leave the race on Mahar’s HBO TV show last night. Nader said he would continue his campaign regardless and left after looking uncomfortable. Nader lost a chance to get on the California ballot on Saturday when the Peace and Freedom Party bypassed “Crazy Ralph” and nominated Silly Thinking’s own Leonard Peltier for President at their convention.
Leonard Peltier will be my guest on Tomorrow’s “One On One” right here on ST.
We will have more whenever News breaks. Stay with ST for the latest Breaking News. For now, bee seeing you.

ST NEWS IS!
