STNews presents

An ST News Update.

Here is Jim Farris from the Mt. St. Helen's Observatory:

JF: Good morning. I'm Jim Farris with an ST News update.

Mt. ST. Helen's exploded yesterday spewing gas, rocks, and a small amount of ash 10,000 feet in the air.The twenty four minute event, at 12:03 pm, was a "burp" according to scientists, it left a huge hole in the glacier on the mountain.
Then the mountain fell silent as the earthquakes stopped.
A few hours later the quakes began again, and now are stronger and more frequent than before. Geological scientists say that another explosion is probable.

We will break in whenever anything happens at the northwest volcano.

Now join us for a movie special, from ST:

TONIGHT!
