CC: Moments ago The Washington Post Newspaper website confirmed an article in today’s Vanity Fair Magazine that 91 year old former FBI official Mark Felt is the legendary “Deep Throat” who leaked vital White House information to Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein during the Nixon Administration’s Watergate scandal.

Woodward, who vowed he would not reveal the identity of Deep Throat till the death of the secret source, has confirmed Felt’s own story published in Vanity Fair.

Now, after thirty years a major mystery of the twentieth century has been laid to rest and the man who thought he would head the FBI and was passed over by Richard Nixon is confirmed as the high ranking government official who, more than any other single person, brought down the Nixon White House and forever marked Richard Nixon as a disgraced American President.
