The ferrets are: sleeping after a day of astonishingly good behavior. I am amazed at how much English these little critters understand. Gregg gave Tazo a talking to last night, immediately following her summary imprisonment which in turn followed a blatant disregard for Certain Standards that we uphold as dear. She is that rare ferret who can hold her bodily functions until a moment she deems appropriate. Unfortunately, said moment is for her less than five minutes after being released from the cage. Gregg said to her, in part, "Living with people is not a right; it is a privilege that is granted to civilized animals. And you are not a civilized animal." She listened. She responded. The floor remains clean after over twenty-four hours.

Weather: overcast and cool, snow still on the ground from New Year's Eve.

Reading: Nothing! I am between books today, which probably explains why I got so much accomplished, relatively speaking.

Listening to in the car: Probable Future , but I have not listened fora week as I have been icebound. btw, Icebound, by Jerri Nielsen is a very good book.

We don't have a date set for moving, or for closing on the house, but I am getting ready to move. We have our papers in , and the first bit (large bit) of the money. Now we wait. I have been sorting through things, eliminating things. I look at stuff and ask whether it's worth moving to a new place. Probably it isn't. Well, a good part of the time it isn't. I have found a few things that I knew I had but didn't know where I had them. This will continue to occur for a good long while. Other things that I know I have have recently turned up missing. I dunno how that works, but it's a pain in the ass. Remind me to write tomorrow about my former son-in-law the prig, or how I lost a pretty damned good book.
