Man, I'm in a really decent mood today. It's a Monday, I should be grumpy, but I'm all la la la!

Productive weekend, that helps. Hell, pretty decent week last week too, in that I finally got a full week of weightlifting in. I was getting that super keen buzz from endorphins after my workouts, where my body is all relaxed, yet tingly and really good feeling, and my head is kinda trippy but clear at the same time. Any of you get that way after workouts? Very groovy feeling.

The weekend was mostly me doing far too much housework, but I find it extremely satisfying so it's not suprising it put me in a good mood. We also moved the camping stuff and suitcases into the garage. That was good, but also a little stressful as I realized how far I am from cleaning out that crafty corner. Ugh! Lots of sorting ahead of me. Also, seeing the crafty corner unveiled sends Tim into a mild, cranky shock, but we soon got it under control and hidden from his sight again.

I also made it to Home Depot and bought a bunch of flowers and plants and dirt. I had to work by lamplight, I got started so late last night, but I managed to put together five container gardens and set some plants into the little plot of dirt near the bottom of our back stairs. I mostly stuck with pansies (they were cheap and colorful) but I also bought some grasses (blue fescue and yellow Japanese grass), a mum, a cyclamen (our backyard is very shady in spots) and a bright orange/ yellow flower called, um, coespecia? It makes me so happy to look out the back windows and see those bright splotches of color! I am actually itching to garden some more, but I can't afford to buy too much else at the moment. Hm, wonder where all those bulbs I dug up when I moved got to; now's the time to be setting those in for next spring.

I've been thinking about our wedding a lot lately. Mostly I've been thinking about stealing ideas from other people's weddings. Scott and Lynne planted tons of flowers on their back deck and made most of her bridal bouquet from what was in bloom on their wedding day. I love this idea, and I'm going to attempt it. I say attempt because we have a rather shady yard, shaded by a big old redwood (which does something strange to the soil), so I'm not sure how many flowers I'll get to bloom this time next year. But it's worth a shot.

It's almost a year from our wedding now, which means I need to actually start real planning very soon. Meep!

I guess that's it for now. Ta!
