An exciting new feature is set to be added to Barbie® Collector Gold Label™ dolls! In just a few short months, a brand new numbering system will be introduced to the cherished line, adding an attractive dimension to the hobby of Barbie® collecting. Here's the deal: Gold Label™ dolls are going to be numbered in 2007. On the back panel of Gold Label™ packages, there will be a label with the following information: Worldwide production quantity Toy number Individual Doll Code (IDC) As a randomly generated alpha-numeric code, the IDC will not indicate the doll's sequence in production order, nor will it be kept on file at Mattel. By putting an individual stamp on each Gold Label™ doll, this numbering system will give each beautiful Barbie® doll a completely distinct identifier. As a result, these dolls will become even more unique and personal for their owners. Please note that Pink Label™ dolls will not be labeled as such, while Platinum Label™ dolls will continue to be sequentially numbered on the Certificate of Authenticity 1-999. Look for the newly numbered Gold Label™ packages beginning in 2007! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
