Flash MX on Linux?
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

It looks like Macromedia is planning to make it's MX Development Tools work well with Wine for Linux. As much as I often complain about Macromedia's failure to build quality software, it would be nice to see some serious applications be built with Linux in mind and tested on Linux. As nice as Open Source equivalents can be, they still tend to be less "polished", often throwing a vast number warning messages to the console, and relying on ancient UI libraries like Motif (I'm looking in your direction here, Adobe...).

It would be even better to see a naitive Gtk+ interface built, but a Wine-Compatibility-Tested program would be almost as good.
