2004-06-08 9:15 PM You may have the glasses, but I have the binoculars... Read/Post Comments (6) |
We went to ERAU at 6AM to see the venus transit.
People who are interested in science, not actual scientists necessarily, but lay-people who show up at things like this are, um, different! (Read: rude, grumpy and extremely annoying.) They had monitors set up so you could watch it. Also, they were handing out 3-D style glasses. This weird-ass lady, who felt the need to bring her yippy little dog into the school was walking around holding a pair, but not using them. My mom asked if she could borrow them and the lady just stares at her and says "No, they're handing them out." Mom explained that they had run out and the lady just says no again and walks away. BEEE-Yatch! But it's cool though because we got a hold of these hugh binoculars and bogarted them for the remainder of our stay. It was really amazing to watch. I'm glad I got to see it. ______________________________________________________ Today's question: The hands of a clock appear to read 9:13 when viewed in a mirror. What is the actual time?
