For anyone interested, we are still alive.
Our first major hurricane was quite an experience. We lost power friday at 10:30PM and it was just restored today. Our house suffered some damage- lost a lot of shingles from the roof, lost our entire fence, our neighbor's tree crashed into our screened room- where it still sits, lots of debris around and our mailbox was in the middle of the front yard. Could've been worse. We took pictures- I will post some soon.
Other than that, we have been so busy that I have not been updating my journal. Hopefully I will remedy that.
I turned the big 3-0 today...kinda uneventful in a town with minimal power and open restaurants and stores...but it was fun anyway.
