I have a friend, a fellow SF writer, who's just finished up a substantial project to render gene sequences as music. I've heard his Fruit Fly Suite, a 40-second or so rendition of the entire genome of drosophilia melanogaster. As soon as I can either a) get permission to repost it or b) get him to post it somewhere I'll provide a link.
