Words Like Viscous Sludge

I got only 100 words written last night, if that. But at least I was at my computer for a full hour, so I can't beat myself up too much. Some days the words flow like wine, other days they slog out like the viscous sludge you find in your car engine if you haven't changed your oil in a long time. The point is that I'm making the time, I'm taking an hour out of every day, with the express purpose of getting writing done. But I still feel like crap when I have a night like last night. At least I beat Caitlin R. Kiernan, who only got 35 words last night, and she writes for a living.
