I just heard for the second time today the song "Where Do We Go From Here" (the first single on Filter's new album The Amalgamut) on the radio, and smiled. I'm glad to see they're getting airplay off the new album, which is really good, and you should go out and buy it. It's got a really great group of songs, ranging from the harder stuff (like on Short Bus) to the softer stuff (like on Title of Record). Richard Patrick's gone a little more political in some instances (like "Columind"), but it serves to make the album great. The more I listen to it, the more I enjoy it, and it just confirms for me that Patrick is a genius. It's like this music has always existed in some group subconscious, and Patrick has dipped into it to pull out these songs. They sound like they should already exist, and now, they do. So listen.
