Driving Through Cotton Candy

Driving to work this morning was eerie. The fog was so thick that the car fifty feet in front of me disappeared like a David Copperfield trick. It was like driving through cotton candy, wisps of water vapor trailing past, the sun a pale disc in an even paler sky. An otherwise invisible spiderweb in the parking lot of my office was illuminated in stunning detail.

This weekend was a blast. I'll give a Trinoc-con report later on today when I have the appropriate time. My parents took me out to Tripp's for dinner last night, our annual tradition. They're the only restaurant who can make chicken cordon bleu the way it was meant to be made. Delicious. I couldn't finish it all.

I wrote my review of Jonathan Carroll's White Apples last night, and will be emailing it to Green Man Review today. I imagine it'll appear in the October 20 all-book issue. When it gets posted, I'll link it here, plus in my Reviews section. I was thinking about trying to squeeze in a review of Perdido Street Station by China Mieville as well, but I'm going to be studying for the GRE pretty much every night this week and the next.

Have a groovy day, all.
