My incredibly talented girlfriend just finished another couple of paintings, one which blows me away and should be hanging in a gallery somewhere at this very moment. It's titled "The Lantern", based on The Lantern Festival a.k.a. The Mooncake Festival a.k.a. The Mid-Autumn Festival held in Singapore every year, and is frankly the best artwork she has done so far. Take a look and see if you don't want a print.

I took the day off from work and spent the entire time studying for the GRE, since I take it in a little over a week. I got through the entire Verbal and Quantitative sections of the book this afternoon, scoring over 50% on practice tests in both sections. I expect to start looking over the Writing Assesment section tonight. Man, my brain hurts. I forgot how many damn rules and equations there are concerning algebra and geometry.

And my mother's birthday is today, six days after my own birthday. She always called me her early birthday present. My father and I'll be taking her out to dinner sometime this weekend.
