Well, I have yet to hear anything from the Australian dude who stole jasonlundberg.com, so I think I'm going to go ahead and buy the jasonlundberg.net domain name. Then I'll have to change some links, and email everyone I know, and get new business cards...guh, what a damn hassle.

I saw The Two Towers last night with my buddy John, and really enjoyed it. For someone who has not read the books, it seemed to flow really well. And they did a phenomenal job with Gollum/Smeagol; the level of mastery over CGI in terms of realism reminded me a lot of Dobby in the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I still don't think that CGI characters will replace real actors anytime soon, but they're getting really good at it.

There were some things that seemed unneccesary (Janet and I were talking about this earlier in the morning over the phone): the son of the king of Rohan dying and even being in the plot at all, the face-off between the Dark Rider on the dragon-thing and Frodo at the end in Gondor. And the film just sort-of ended; there wasn't much of a cliffhanger for next time. Mike Jasper talks a lot about this stuff in his December 19 journal entry, and the review at GMR does the same.

I was supposed to go see the new Harry Potter movie again today with a friend of mine, but he got drafted into helping paint a friend's new house. So, I may go see it by myself; I really want to see it again.
